Hey guys!  Sorry I haven't been updating a lot, I have been really busy this week with all the teachers giving us extra work and whatnot before Christmas Break.  I've decided to take a break from Marg to Mars to work on my latest project! :D I'll tell what the project is in due time, but for now why don't you guys check out Marg to Mars Kongregate version.  --->

New Trailer For Marg to Mars is Out!

Hey guys, was'up?  Today I released the Official Trailer for Marg to Mars! :D So excited for it to be released, but right now I'm in the porting-to-AS3 stage.  Once I've finished, I'll use Air to release it to iOS & Android! :)  Watch the new trailer here:

New Game Soon!

New "Marg to Mars" Game Coming Soon!

Hello everybody!  I can now announce a new game coming soon to Kongregate called "Marg to Mars" It is made in honor of, and for, my mother Margaret, who turned 50 this year!  :DDD (yeah my parents are old lol)  It will be my second game written in AS2, and I will be releasing a trailer soon!  I plan to make this my last AS2 game though so say goodbye! :)  I have practiced AS3 enough that I can make a reasonable game with it.  Marg to Mars should be released in the next 1-2 weeks or so.  BTW, my Apple Developer ID is bought and ready for me to use so I will be releasing apps within a few weeks as well!  Yaaaay! :D Thx you guys!

P.S.  Marg to Mars is about person named Marg who has been trained to use an experimental ship.  You must get to Mars and dodge all the obstacles.  :)

I got Adobe Flash Pro CS6 FULL Finally!

Hey everyone!  I am so excited to announce that I now officially own Adobe Flash Pro CS6! :D  My trial ran out ages ago but now I have it permanently.  I have already used it a TON,  and started on a (maybe) new project going to the App Store!  I promise this will not be delayed like Alien vs Aliens (still no luck with that, I might have to call it canceled) :(.   In the mean time, if you haven't, try out my latest game: Stick Legacy - World 1

Release of Stick Legacy - World 1

Stick Legacy - World 1 Released

After many weeks of frustration, delay, and hard work I am proud to present Stick Legacy - World 1! (finally) I am very pleased with my latest Stencyl production and hope you will be too!  The game is the first in a series called the Sitck Legacy series (kindov self-explanatory) with a # of worlds (not sure yet).  You can play the on Kongregate for free via my IvoryRodGames profile: -->

1.  I am thinking of releasing a polished version of Brick Block Breaker Extreme!

2.  Aliens vs Aliens is still delayed for the moment… I am having a hard time fixing bugs.  :(

For all those who wish to become adequate game programmers, I HIGHLY recommend this book:

Although it uses the rather ancient version of just plain AS(ActionScript)  the concepts behind AS can be transferred almost seamlessly to AS2 (Not sure about AS3, as I'm still working to improve my skills on that).  This is a truly remarkable book written by Andy Harris, and I hope everyone who reads this book appreciates how simple and easy he makes AS to learn.  Thx all!  :D

Update on Current Games

I am now working on two new projects, both coming from Stencyl.  As I gain more experience in Stencyl, I am finding that I like it more & more.  Now, don't get me wrong.  It's a cheap way to make Flash games that doesn't give you ANY programming experience AT ALL.  I am also working on a secret project that might be released on the App Store!  :D
